Among the club's activities for the year were the induction of new members and a November trip to Albemarle Senior High School for the District Convention. Shelia Wensil was sponsored by the NCHS Chapter as a candidate for district Vice-President. At the 1969 North Carolina High School Library Association State Convention, Sandra Rodgers was elected editor of the state newspaper. It is composed of poems, short stories, and satires written by the students of Northwest. To publish the Epilogue the club launched money-raising projects such as a show given to study halls by a local rock band, and a writing contest. The contest also helped to encourage students to express themselves in literary work.
