Ellen Smith sponsoring Bill Henry Jeff Galloway The enchantment of a beautiful night, the voices of old friends and alumni, a victorious ballgame. a talented wizard and twenty-seven beautiful girls what more could one expect on a Starlit Autumn Night? The annual homecoming game was held on September 26, 1969. It was marked by the attendance of a capacity crowd, lots of school spirit, and a triumphant win by the gridiron squad. As the evening passed, the excitement steadily grew. At half-time the awaited moment arrived as Jody Little was crowned the 1970 Miss Gridiron to the approval of the spectators. Other half-time activities included a skit by members of the dramaticis class. the introduction of the sponsors, and beautiful background music provided by the band. Following the game, there was a dance sponsored by the cheerleading squad for all Trojans, past and present. As the evening progressed, all enjoyed and danced to the music offered by The Swinging Sensations. Everyone agreed when the evening drew to a close that all expectations of an exciting homecoming event had been surpassed.
