Debbie Presson, 1968 Miss Gridiron, crowns her successor Miss Jody Little. The 1969 Homecoming festivities were held on September 26. The evening was topped with the crowning of Miss Jo Delaine '5Jody Little as Miss Gridiron. Sponsoring Steve Lawing, Jody was selected over twenty-seven other beauties to reign as queen. Jody's smile is familiar in the halls of Northwest where she daily enters into school life, chatting with friends and attending classes. Ellen Smith sponsoring Bill Henry Jeff Galloway The enchantment of a beautiful night, the voices of old friends and alumni, a victorious ballgame. a talented wizard and twenty-seven beautiful girls what more could one expect on a Starlit Autumn Night? The annual homecoming game was held on September 26, 1969. It was marked by the attendance of a capacity crowd, lots of school spirit, and a triumphant win by the gridiron squad. As the evening passed, the excitement steadily grew. At half-time the awaited moment arrived as Jody Little was crowned the 1970 Miss Gridiron to the approval of the spectators. Other half-time activities included a skit by members of the dramaticis class. the introduction of the sponsors, and beautiful background music provided by the band. Following the game, there was a dance sponsored by the cheerleading squad for all Trojans, past and present. As the evening progressed, all enjoyed and danced to the music offered by The Swinging Sensations. Everyone agreed when the evening drew to a close that all expectations of an exciting homecoming event had been surpassed.
