In Memory. . . This school year marks Northwest Academy's first decade of existance and announces the untimely death of our notorious Blue Devil. For the past ten years, we have been encouraged and cheered on at football games by the princing BLUE DEVIL - a mysterious bearded Cand tailedj figure enveloped totally in blue. We would like to give credit to the many anonymous persons who devoted so much time and school spirit to get our teams and student body fired up. Some ofthe Devils in recent years are: 1975-76 - Carol Eckels and Carol Eichler 1976-77 Toni Corona 1977-78 Annette Dawson 1979-80 Nancy Faircloth The Blue Devil is now extinct after the merger with First Baptist it was not considered an appropriate mas- cot for our school. A new mascot will be chosen, and because of this sad fact, the Academe Yearbook Staff has dedicated these two pages in memory of our BLUE DEVIL! of 6 -5 X
