w TT Student Congress Boosts Involvement Under the co-presidency of Anne Griffith and Beth BuckJand, this year ' s Student Congress has developed a new NHS constitution, establishing voting procedures for class elections, student responsibilities and Homecoming traditions. With the help of its sixteen members and officers, Student Congress has elicited more school spirit and laid firm groundwork or future organizations to follow. Through events like the Turkey Trot, Spirit Week lunch activities, and Homecoming activities, Stu- dent Congress has boosted student involvement once again. Two blood drives in the spring have in- volved the community in activities as well. NHS student government has also interacted with other schools through activities in the WLAA, such as student leadership conferences at Oakland Com- munity College, student exchanges, and chess and bowling tournaments.
