NHS Bands Sound Off The membership of the NHS bands has increased dramatically this past school year. With so many new students, teacher Michael Rumbell has had much to do. With the help of assistants Bill Bailey and Steve Chisnell, the band director skillfully pulled together the groups, merging the younger members with the older and more experienced. The variety of instruments and the talent of the musi- cians who play them enabled the bands to score remarkably well in competitions all year long and to provide high quality musical entertainment for the entire student body.

T NHS Choir Harmonizing with Excellence The results of Mrs. Mary Kay Pryce ' s heartfelt dedication to her choir students has once again become evident through the numerous honors NHS has receiv- ed. This year, Carrie Bickner, iCorfa Pearson, and Jason Merecki, in the honors choir, made it to regional choir competition. Jason Merecki went on to become a member of the state choir. The Concert Choir, Nor- Ihville Singers, Girls ' Ensemble, Male Chorus and the Barbershop Quartet participated in state competition and pep assemblies, as well as local performances.
