CLASS HISTORY Believe ut or not thirteen years ago hfteen scared luttle kids started out to a new adventure our hrst day of school Muss Conklin now Mrs Lawrence was our teacher Our next year when we were un the first grade we thought ourselves quite bug e pecually when we all had the bug and excutung exper uence of playing in the rhythm band under the durectuon of Mrs Cunningham We have many happy memories of our days un the elementary grades such as those many mornings un second grade when Mrs Muller came un and taught us our penmanshup and those saxette lessons our first class pucnuc and our clubs un the sixth grade Arriving un junuor hugh school we thought our selves quite grownup Eleven members were added Emma Brownell were our teachers un seventh grade Thus year we went to Johnstown for our first class trup Here we visited Sur Wulluam johnson s home the jaul the court house and finally the Johnstown Hotel where we had our dinner In our second year of junuor hugh Mrs Lindsey and Mrs Emma Brownell were our advisors Thus year we vusuted Howe Caverns and we also enjoyed a pucnuc un back of our school Finally the day arruved when we reached hugh school Our class advisors were Mr Felber and Mrs Beulah Brownell Thus year our class sold taffy for our money making project For an assembly program we put on a play called Swept Clean off Her Feet whuch was quite a hut In our second year of hugh school we again had Mr Felber as our class advusor We sold quite a few things thus year to enlarge our treasury We sold magazines taffy book covers and vanilla With some of our money we held a banquet at Hugh Rock Lodge where the dinner consisted of turkey or ham Later un the evening games and movues were enjoyed For our assembly program again we put on a play named Bobbysox Again in our junuor year we managed to have Mr Felber as our advusor Our biggest project of the year was the unuor Prom The theme of the prom was Swayung toward Heaven The gymnasuum was decorated un pastel colors hung from a low star fulled blue ceiling The outstanding feature of the decorations was a staircase of silver surrounded by yellow streamers leading up to a gate of gold Also this year we put on a leap year party and had the gurls unvite the fellows The party was a real suc cess and everyone seemed to enjoy the movues games and refreshments At the end of the year we all enjoyed a pucnuc and a day of fun at Caroga Lake Our senuor year certainly was full and exciting The first bug event of our senuor year was the senuor play The Importance of Beung Earnest by Oscar Wulde Under the durectuon of Mr Karstetter the play was a great success To rause money for our class trup we sold taffy Christmas cards basketball puns and candy also we sponsored a donkey basket ball game and spaghetti supper At last the day came when we were on our way to Washington It was luke a dream' We are proud to say that several of our boys helped un wunnung the basketball sectuonals at Sara toga thus year We apprecuate the guidance and durectuon that Mr Felber has guven us throughout our hugh school career ' D D l ' Y U I D .
