llforlgg for World llfldq Lllydqrgtalyclllyg Helping all peoples of the world to walk together and talk together, was the A.F.S. club's main goal this past year. The A.F.S. club encouraged families to be host to ex- change students from all over the world. The club members also sought students who would like to travel to other coun- tries from Northview as exchange students. Club President Dane Schaiterer and Vice-President Debi Lacey helped club members plan the year's activities. The A.F.S. club also worked to make the foreign exchange stu- dent feel welcome at Northview. Some of the activities planned were a float in the Covina Christmas Parade, selling mistletoe, and sponsoring a dance in January. The A.F.S. club also had a Halloween party in F a. October. A.F.S. members Leslie Hale,Janis Quodrozzi, and Wendy Ochs work on float for the annual Christmas Parade. The accomplishment of this goal was made possible by editors Laura Gillespie and Tamie Kimpton. These two students proofread literary contributions given to the club by non-members. They also helped other mem- bers with their poems or short stories. Busy with writing and editing the collection of litera- ture, the club still found time to organize such activities as selling trick or treat bags with the Drama Club, and selling carnations on Valentine's Day. Along with these activities, club members also managed to do some gener- al promoting for the magazine. Combined with creativity and dedication, the club members also put a lot of hard work into the magazine. . W Front Row: Bryca Owens, Donna Zeman, Melissa Klingbeil.
