Along with cheering at class competitions these girls tried to encourage both students and adults to sup- port Northview and the Viking teams. During the year, besides cheering at football and bas- ketball games, this unit performed routines to the fight song and alma mater, delivered cakes, cupcakes, and candy to the varsity team mem- bers, and painted posters. Before leaving for cheerleading camp at Pep- perdine University last summer, the flag twirl- ers practiced long and hard on a routine to be performed there. This routine won them a rib- bon in the outstanding category. At camp the girls realized that each girl added her own tal- ents and abilities to the group and this could be seen in their cheers and routines. With a big smile, Kim Klauck chuckles at the follies of the other flag twirlers. Flag 209

Bunny as Vicki Viking, enjoys working by herself and doing hings her way. But she also likes spending time with the rest of he Pep Unit. Having an outgoing personality, to make the crowd want to Eheer along with the rest of the Pep Unit, was a big part of unny's responsibilities. - Majorettes Meg Miller, Vicki McWian and Tammy Noe pose with batons The three very energetic majorettes include Vicki McWain, Tammy Noe, and Meg Miller.
