It , s ff Q Z 1 1. Laura Carter You Ain'tNothin'ButAHound Dog... 2+2. ... Each year the Montview League gives recognition to five stu- dents from each of the league member schools. This year's out- standing personalities represented Northview at the Montview League Honors Banquet. To be considered for the award each must have maintained a high academic standard, and have partic- ipated actively in school events. The following, in no specific order, along with their accomplish- I 'IFN ments, are this year's Montview League five. LAURA CARTER: Besides being Coordinator of Pep, an active member of Pep Club and a varsity cheerleader, Laura has shown her interest in school spirit by serving as a frosh basketball statis- tician and a varsity and l.V. wrestling statistician. Musically, she has been in Women's Choir, Viking choir, Chamber Singers, and has been the treasurer of Clef Dwellers. She has also Shown her enthusiasm by participating in Girls' League and as a member of Leadership she was one of Northview's representatives at the Mont- view League Forum. IEANNINE CUSTER: Always playing an important role, leannine has held such offices as sophomore class treasurer, junior class Dave Escobedo president and has been an active member of class council. Aside from her participation in Drama Club and Idunians, she has been Coordinator of Special Events. Her interest in music has shown itself by her memberships in Women's Choir, Viking Choir, and her work on the crew for the BOYFRIEND. Active in sports, lean- nine has been a basketball statistician, has played on the Powder Puff football team, and has been active in G.A.A. Whatdo you mean myl DAVE ESCOBEDO: As a member of the Varsity and LV. basketball and football teams, and as the recipient of football's Most Inspirational Player Award, Dave has shown his outstanding athletic talent. A very active person on our campus, he has been sophomore class president as well as a member of class council and A.S.B. President. LINDA EWRY: Excelling in leadership, Linda has held the positions of freshman and sophomore legislator, has been a member of class council f4yrs.J, Coordinator of Special Events, and A.S.B. vice-president. Linda's well rounded activities also include the Viking Staff, Girls' League tSoph. Rep.l, G.A.A., Womens Choir and Peace- makers. She was chosen as the D.A.R. Good Citizen, Girl of the Year and was a princess on the Basketball Royalty Court. DENISE BENNETT: As a very active person in the field of music, Denise has been in Women's Chorus, Concert Choir, Viking Choir, and Chamber Singers. Furthering her interest, she has also been secretary of Folk Club and president of Clef Dwellers. As for her other school activities, she has been in G.A.A., head of costumes for the drama production THE BAD SEED, and A.S.B. treasurer. 66 Montview League Five
