To be in our club, we had to letter in a varsity sport. lt took a lot of hard work and after school practice, but we're proud of our deter- mination because it paid off. When we weren't singing Do you like, Rampenthal? we were working hard to spon- sor the N.V.H.S. Sports Night. Anyone could come and play basketball, volleyball, or ping pong - just to name a few. We also sponsored the Northview Wrestling Tournament which was held in the gym. Being sports-minded, we decided to go fish- ing in San Diego, and to a Los Angeles Kings hockey game. Since many of us had never been to one before, the game was very exciting. We had a good time working hard this year and besides what would N.V.H.S. be without the Lettermen. pep cl Talk about pep! We sure had it this year. We did many things and worked very hard promoting school spirit. Knock Azusa on their Aztecs and Lace the Lancers around the Old Oak Tree were just a few of the snazzy slogans used on posters at the games. We also had a Love car- nation sale, Carnations mysteriously appeared in the classrooms. Who were they from?? How bizarre! . There was red meaning l love you, white meaning Friendship and pink meaning I care. Although many were caught by surprise, it was nice to know SOMEBODY cared. By unanimous request, See's suck- ers returned this year. Their appear- ance stunned the stomachs of many students and turned the stomachs of many teachers! We really had lots of fun this year stirring up spirit- hope you felt it 'cause it's our job and we wouldn't trade itfor nothin'. et Rabbit and his Little Bunnies , rf' , f , ,f W A - .' 1 , ,n , 5' ., V , . .f.s. lt's going to be super hard to top this year's AFS. because we sure worked hard and got it together. For those who don't know, A.F.S. fAmerican Field Servicel is a club in- terested in communication with foreign countries. That's why we sponsor an exchange student who comes from a foreign coun- try and lives with an Ameri- can family during her sen- ior year. Fun was just about the only word to describe this year. We went to the L.A. County Fair, had a recep- tion and picnic for all the A.F.S. clubs in the area. The picnic was especially fun because we had a jack -O- lantern carving contest which we won. Our prize- one candied apple to be divided among 15 messy carvers. Selling suckers and hav- ing car washes were just a few ways we raised money. Plenty of time and hard work was put into these ac- tivities and every bit proved worthwhile. We will always remember this year as one filled with picnics, parties and com- munication - our chance to share a part of us with one more part of the world, Row 1 - K.Masters, D.Pullen C Lewis R Patterson A Old FMoran R Hochburger Row 2 T Hochburger, C.Nichols B Fishman R Adams H Garcia jDiesslin P Ahrens D Moran N Moran T.Ebba, H.Hanna, tPres.l B Curley
