IQLIIIM TIG IIS Look! Here come the Marklinians! I wonder if they'll beat the Thori- ans this time. l wonder, too. Thorians haven't lost a game in 8 years. But this year Marklinians have two A basketball players. Yes, but Thorians have more A basketball players who have exper- ience. l'm sure they'll win. Here come the Thorians now! Shhh! They're announcing the starting players. The game is starting now! The first quarter is over and Thorians are in the lead. I'll bet they win. Don't be too sure. Ha! It's the half and Thorians are still leading. What do you, have to say now? Silence. The second half is starting now. Wow! The Marklinians are pulling a- head! They are leading by 8 points at the end of the third quarter. I knew they could do it. lust wait, Thorians will catch up. Terri Cunniff is making most of their points. She'll help them win. But, Marklinians have Cathy Collins and she's making points right and left. Oh no! Thorians are catching up! Go Marklinians! Go, Thorians, go! At least Marklinians have cheerleaders. Thorians don't need them. They're good enough without them. One minute left and Thorians are leading. THEY WON! Yeh, but not by very much. Only 35-28. Look at the Thorians shouting along with their coaches Norm Van Ginkel and Greg Smoyer. And look at the Marklinians walking out of the gym with their coaches Scott LaValley and Brian Vinson. Well, here we are at the Pasadena Sheraton. Oh, it's just perfect. Yeah, I can't wait to get inside. Let's go! The setting is so romantic. It's too bad all we're here for is to serve punch and cake. Yeah, but there's always next year when we're seniors. Well, I sure would like to go this year. I'd love to dance to the band, COMMITTEE. They play some of the best songs! Hey, we might even be one of the girls on court next year. Oh, I don't know, just to be able to dance tonight would be fun. I know what you mean.. . The theme 'lust You n' Me' is so romantic, but I sure wish that there was a you because I'm just a me! Hey, they're starting to call up the court! All the girls look so beautiful. Yeah, well their escorts don't look too bad either. Now, let's see who's all on court. There's Debbie Hopkins and Alexis Vasilchak. Oh, and there's Sue Peseone, Sandy Hultsman, and Dolly Kelepecz. Boy, I'd give anything to be in their shoes. Me, too! Hold on to your seat! They're starting to announce Queen. Who do you want for Queen? It doesn't matter to me. They are all deserving. I can't argue with that. lust think, any second now we'll find out the 1974 Prom Queen. It's Sue Peseone! Gosh, I'm glad that's over. I was really getting tense. Well I don't think we were the only ones. Everyone was excited. The music is starting and the time has passed so fast, it's 11:25 and everyone is going out on the floor for the last dance. As the night draws to an end, just think of the many memories that are stored in the minds of each and every couple that was lucky enough to attend and enjoy this 1974 Prom. 11 Star light star bright, .. Remember the George Sharp assembly? He was an unforgettable hypnotistf' Yes, and what about the trampoline stars and 'Hello People'? They were great! And best of all were Mag Wheels and the Lug Nuts. They brought back the sounds of the 50's and made al- most everyone wish that they had lived during that time.
