Proud father, lovely daughter. , g g,. f' A -5' ...J-r Vinson maneuvers out of Azusa's defense. f N There's a pretty big crowd here to- night, but then I guess there always is. Yeah, well Basketball Royalty is to- night and that probably helped. Let's go sit in front so we can get a good view. O.K. Are you staying for the dance? Cecil's the band and you KNOW they're good. Yeah, I really like their music and it's easy to dance to. Wow! Second quarter's almost over and look how close the game is. Azusa was ranked pretty high in C.I.F. and we beat 'em the first time we played. Oh, look, there's the court. They all look so prett . The've all been pretty active in school too. For sure-Anna Avina was l.V. cheer- leader and was on cast and crew for FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON and lill Evenson is a songleader and is in Chamber Singers. Linda Ewry is A.S.B. Vice-President and last year was Coordinator of Spe- cial Events. leannine Custer is Coordi- nator of Special Events this year and was lunior Class President. Don't forget Helen Halink who was head flagtwirler and is Senior Class Secretary. The settin of Summer Breeze does look reallly nice. It reminds me of spring what with all the flowers and everything. There's last year's queen, Valerie Scalla. I bet the court is really nervous. Yeah and their dads are escorting them. I bet they're as nervous as their daughters. You know sometimes I wish I knew who the queen was before the crown- ing. Then I wouldn't have to stand the suspense. I don't know, the suspense is what makes it fun shhhh they're gonna crown the queen. There goes Valerie, back and forth, back and forth, back. . . Hurry it up, will ya!!!!! lT'S ANNA AVlNAlllll Oh wow! How neat! we'Il have to congratulate her at the dance. The third quarter's starting. I hope we play as good as the last two quart- ers. You know this game really get's me excited. I guess Basketball Royalty made it that much better. I think this year's court was the best ever. They had the prettiest girls. f'Even though it's exciting it's really sad 'cause it's over and I hate to see it go. 139

I-4 Mme S da nee Wow, look at the decorations, Red and white streamers and a world in the center. It fits the theme 'Love Makes the World Go Round' perfectly. Everything's so romantic. All the couples danc- ing to the music of Shane. They really are a fan- tastic band. I just love Valentine's Day! Don't you? Sure. Oh look, there's lim and Sue. Let's go talk to them. I'd rather just go back and sit at our table in the corner. O.k. Look, the dance is almost over. I hate to have itend. D Oh, I wish we didn't have to leave. I washaving so much fun.
