' .. w' Our spirit is sky high! Let's sit here so we can see the princesses coming down the red carpet. Okay! Oh, aren't you excited! I can't wait to see who makes queen. Who do you think will get nz I don't know, they all deserve it. Haven't you picked one? Well, Pam larvis is president of Girls' League and was a flag twirler for two years and Sue Rampenthal is head song leader and president of Drama Club! Yeah, and Teri Cunniff was freshman class treasurer and is a Varsity cheerleader. Don't forget Diana Alley. She's head Var- sity cheerleader and was vice-president of Pep Club. But Sandy Cimino was a flag twirler for two years and a freshman class legislator. Oh! There're only a few seconds til half- time and look at the score, we're winning 14 to O! Hey, here comes our band and drill team onto the field. And look at the princesses in their sudan chairs! Wow! They sure are pretty. The clubs really did a good job on them with the theme . . . 'Return to the Valley of the Nile.! Look, their dads are escorting them, I bet they're really proud. There's last year's Homecoming Queen, Mrs. Sandy Mason Ross, to crown our 1973 Homecoming Queen! I sure wish she'd stop going back and forth and crown somebody! Wait, she's coming this way. . .no, she's going back that way. . .no, she's coming back this way! SUE RAMPENTHAL!!! I'll never forget this night for the rest of my life. Everything went great. We have a beautiful Homecoming Court, and we anni- hilated the Nogales Nobles 26 to O! Lets hurry so we can get to the Homecom- ing dance and congratulate Sue! Okay, and I hear the band is Cecil and they're really fantastic. Homecoming is the most wonderful part of the year. I'm sad that it's over, but we'll have it in our memories forever! Homecoming 131

4' il Let's go to Luigis'. Charlie is a drag at a party. I just can't take it anymore! Now, Charlie, what do you see in these ink blots? I--. Af Ag..--. V5 He's not going to work with me! Gosh! We're lucky we got seats. Look at all the eople. Hey! There's Nancy. Hi, Nancy! Sffh! The curtain's going up. That must be Charlie's room, and there's the bakery, and the lab, and is that the doctor's office? Well, since Ralph Purfor and Terry Steege are the doctors and since they're over there, it's pret- ty obvious that it's the doctor's office. Oh. Hey, there's Sue Rampenthal. Gosh, she really looks like a teacher, huh? I think Mrs. Hall and her student director, Brad Turner, really did a great job of castin , especially since there are over 40 people in time cast. Gosh, don't Bruce Hatten and Dave Mack look alike? They both have such blue eyes. That's probably why they both play the part of Charlie Gordon. Yeah, I guess so. Hey, that music is a gas ... do whack a do ... Yeah, cute. I hope the operation will be a success. I won- der how long before it starts taking effect? I don't know, but if you don't quiet down you'll never find out. Gosh, That sure went by fast. Oh, how sad! Charlie's going back to visit his mother, who is played by Kathy Mar ison. Oh my gosh, she's got a knife! She's going after Charlie'. I can't look! You can look now, everything's cooled off. Gosh, I feel sorry for Charlie. How would you feel if you knew you were losing your intelli- gence? And poor Miss Kinnian loves him so much! I'm gonna know how it feels to lose my temper in a minute. I still think Charlie shouldn't have sent Miss Kinnian away, 'specially since he loved her too. But I guess it al worked out for the best since Charlie knew he was going to end up in the Warren Home. Yeah, I guess so. That was so sad Csobl, do you have a kleenex?
