The North Winds' staff endeavors to publish a high quality periodical, re- flecting the interests and ideals of the student body, in accordance with its motto as correlator of stu- dent news, and opinion. The North Winds is a mem- ber in good standing of the Southern Interscholastic Press Association, and ascribes to the high journal- istic standards set by S. l. P. A. Through the past year, the editors and staff have given their utmost to provide the students with the type of newspaper they desire. The purpose of the newspaper is also to support the administration and the North Winds has complied in all ways possible with the school officials in the publications. The Future Business Leaders of America is a national organization whose purposes in- clude promoting good business education and creating more interest and understanding in the intelligent choice of a business occupa- tion. The Northside chapter carries out these purposes through contests, assemblies, and sending students to the FBLA conventions. F.B.L.A. presents assembly on Whooz Who in American Business with special gifts for teachers.
