ROW THREE: Head coach Steve Edwards, Ben Brubaker David Shuman, Greg Bays, Tony Poe, Jeff Cheesman, Dwayne Adrian, Matt Millikan, Mark Smith, Manager Steve Allen, Coach Tom Osborne. Tony Poe trightj and Scott Parker race with two Southside runners in a reserve contest. The varsity trackmen ran to a 3-4 record. Injuries were abundant, as the Titans struggled to a fourth place finish in the conference and second in the sectional. Jeff Cheesman won both the high and low hurdle events in the sec- tional with one of the fastest times in the state in the lows, after being in- jured through the last half of the season. Another senior, Rick Schneiter, set a new long jump record with a leap of 22' 6 , shatter- ing the old record of 21' B . A torn cartilage put him out of sectional ac- tion. TRACK VARSITY JR.
