At the Winter Sports Banquet, Coach Dallas Kunkle presented Jim Collins with the MVP award. Sophomore Danny Walker struggles with an opponent in sectional action. Coach Jim Metzler lost six seniors from the 1976-77 squad in a rebuilding year. The varsity wrestlers ended the season 4-2-1. Senior Phines Jackson received a trophy for most team points and co- captain. Jeff Howe was the other co- captain. Most improved wrestler went to sophomore Danny Walker. Freshman Ezra Toomer had the most takedowns, while senior Lockhart Gee copped the Baguba award. The wrestlers won their own sec- tional and placed sixth in the reg I o n al .
