Joining Mrs. Mary Dollison, senior Debbie McGraw helps in getting the day's activities planned and carried out while teaching at Morrison Mock. i Students Goin Experience 44 Expansion Gaining experience through the Exploratory Teachers Program, seniors Debbie McGraw and Judy Sparling explored the teaching field prior to their enrollment in college courses. Getting a sneak preview of the teaching profession, each spent a semester instructing elementary students during the afternoon at various Muncie schools. The kids were just great, and I wanted to hug them all! stated Deb- bie. lt's really a lot of fun, com- mented Judy. It made me sure that this was what I wanted to do. Both Judy and Debbie received instructions downtown under the supervision of Mrs. Phyllis Ashley, supervisor of elementary K through 6. Debbie anxiously awaits the outcome to a story told by one of her students during a play break.

SGC Orgcinizes Activities Senior Keith Peterson takes charge of the microphone during the pep session prior to the Muncie Central!Northside basketball game. Dividing the main hallway bulletin board into classes, SOC provides a place where students can find information. Every little bit counts finds seniors Carol Sue, Kathy Newton, and junior Tom Moran, as they count the Muscular Dystrophy money collected. Organizing charitable campaigns, arranging movies and convocations, organizing pep sessions, reading an- nouncements, and just allowing the students to really feel a part of Northside were some projects un- dertaken this year by the Student Organizational Council CSOCJ. SOC began the year by collecting for the United Way with a goal of ten cents per student, hoping for at least S120. Under the sponsorship of Mr. Don Rogers and leadership of presi- dent Ron Wilson, SOC collected over S120 and topped all other high schools in Muncie. Organizing pep sessions was credited to Keith Peterson, while other SOC members took charge of the announcements which were formerly read by the administration. Concluding the year's activities under the new sponsorship of Mr. Robert Warrner, SOC conducted the annual Winter Festival, a drive for Muscular Dystrophy, and a convoca- tion featuring BSU's Jazz Ensemble.
