168 Pieces New Titoins Explore the Unexplorecl The class of '80 entered NHS with high hopes for a productive year, but due to the gas shortage, snow, and extremely cold weather, many plans could not be carried out. An activity night, dance, car wash, and bake sale were to take place during the second semester, however. The freshman class, headed by president Tim Courtney: vice- president Kirby Barnes: secretary Denise Larimoreg and treasurer Kelly Sparenburg, tied with the seniors in an effort to win the spirit mug at a pep session. Class members Tim Courtney, Andy Tharp, and Alice Darter qualified for the state swim meets, and Alice brought home the championship in the 100 yard butterfly.
