An activity night, dance, car wash, and bake sale were to take place during the second semester, however. The freshman class, headed by president Tim Courtney: vice- president Kirby Barnes: secretary Denise Larimoreg and treasurer Kelly Sparenburg, tied with the seniors in an effort to win the spirit mug at a pep session. Class members Tim Courtney, Andy Tharp, and Alice Darter qualified for the state swim meets, and Alice brought home the championship in the 100 yard butterfly.
