P ' em tv Rama 124 Compression With suitcases packed, debate team members Pat Hall, Stacy Johnson, Leisa Love, Monty Young, Bill Petty, Robert Osborne, and Rod McCullum prepare to leave for state competition. Taking Debate team members spent a busy year participating in events throughout the state. Six team P members represented Northside in the state debate contest. My Fair Lady and Harvey were major productions for the Northside Drama department. The Gifted Student Program, un- der the direction of Mrs. Jan Ellis, was begun this year to provide twen- ty specially-selected juniors and seniors with the chance to explore their interests indepth. The students completed research and projects for credit in various departments. The Social Studies department provided students with a look into the past in understanding their coun- try and heritage. Once again the department offered classes in U.S. History, Sociology, World Affairs, and Economics.
