Required English classes provid- ed a solid background in grammar, poetry, and literature as students composed themes, presented oral book reports, and read everything from Romeo and Juliet to DRACULA. Senior English students put hours of research and writing into term papers completed during the second semester. Publications gave students in- terested in writing and photography the opportunity to express their talents. NORTHSIDE NEWS and NORTH STAR staff members con- stantly strived to meet the next deadline. Sharing the school building for two weeks, North newspaper staffers combined efforts with Muncie Central students to publish the NORTH-CENTRAL UNION. The two staffs also worked together in putting out the special SECTIONAL '77 issue. A new club this year, Northside 'Video Productions was involved in the taping and broadcasting of various school activities and sports. Northside Video Productions club members Jeff Williams and Kent Johnson relay the play- by-play action of a girls' volleyball game.
