Th1s year Norths1de I-hgh School was able to put three of our f1nest bas P1ctured at the r1ght are these f1ne players Wayne Benke Denn1s Terry and Hank Cox At the beg1nn1ng of the year the Rams set the1r goal for d1str1ct charnp1ons but flrst came the pre d1str1ct games and the tournaments Norths1de entered the EastC entral tournament and came home w1th a f1rst place The Rams then entered the Devme and San Antomo Inv1tat1onal tournaments and came 1n second 1n both After many ha rd days of work under the f1ne coachmg of Coach Barborak and w1th des1re pushmg them onwar d they ach1eved the1r goal After takmg d1str1ct by wxnnmg n1ne out of ten game s the Rams defeated Lockhart for the second t1me 1n a row to take the b1 d1str1ct c rown Agaxn the Rams journeyed to V1ctor1a to the Reglonal Tournament but for the second year 1n a row they were defeated by Clear Creek The Rams won 26 out of 32 games and next year's team hopes to do better The Rams put one boy on the Reg1ona1 team one boy on the all c1ty team and was one of the h1ghe st scor1ng teams 1n the c1ty Denn1s Terry Denn1s,a sen1or, played h1s f1rst year of vars1ty ball, and played It well. HIS accuracy on Jump shots 1S one of the reasons he was one of the top scorers on the team Denn1s was co captam and all d1str1ct on team wh1ch 15 chosen by the d1str1ct coaches.
