Northside offers 1 The students in Mrs Talley ssecond period plane geometry class get worthwhile sewing experience when they form geometric designs with thread on cardboard Most of the designs shown in the back ground give the illusion of motion 2 Girls get practical business training in Mrs Mary Moulder sshorthand class In order to pass this course the students must be able totake dictation at the rate of eighty words a minute 3 Although this looks a great deal like a good old fashioned bull session it is really Mr Blankenship s leathercraft class 4 Meanwhile back at the junior high Mr Jim Warren teaches would be engineers, architects, and draftsmen the fine art of mechanical drawing. The courses in mechanical drawing taught at NHS are the preliminary basis for further training. The students learn to letter, to draw to scale, and to project an idea onto naper.
