Yvonne Haby, vice-president of the Alamo Association of Student Councils, gives the invocation at the convention, arfici afea in conuenfionzi P P The student council is rep- resentative of the student body l as a whole. It works to promote I better understanding and better relations between the students and the fa c ul t y. Our student :ouncil was represented at the state convention in Galveston in March, 1957, The student zouncil sponsored the C an c e r Drive as well as a Career Day Assembly. Mae Steubing, Shirley Weimer, Cathy Cayo, Judy Pen- fold, Sandra Bilbrey, Mrs. Pe eble s, and Nancy Ervin represent Northside's Student Council at the convention held at Jefferson High School, Y ' we Cathy Cayo and Sandra Bilbrey journeyed to Gal- veston to the Stu- dent Council State Convention.
