One of the services performed by the Pegasus Club is the care of the attractive and interesting bulletin bo ar d which pro- vides information on our library's facilities. 'he Pegasus Club has always been an active rganization of hard working members who elp the library func tion efficiently. Library lub members have not only worked at jobs 1 the library but also have been active in me District and State Teen Age Librar y lub. Its variety of money raising projects as rangedfrom colorful octupi made by the lembers to a Talent Show. In or de 1- to accom- plish two necessities at once, library club members are o ft e n seen eating their lunche s during the meetings. Yvonne Haby, vice-president of the Alamo Association of Student Councils, gives the invocation at the convention, arfici afea in conuenfionzi P P The student council is rep- resentative of the student body l as a whole. It works to promote I better understanding and better relations between the students and the fa c ul t y. Our student :ouncil was represented at the state convention in Galveston in March, 1957, The student zouncil sponsored the C an c e r Drive as well as a Career Day Assembly. Mae Steubing, Shirley Weimer, Cathy Cayo, Judy Pen- fold, Sandra Bilbrey, Mrs. Pe eble s, and Nancy Ervin represent Northside's Student Council at the convention held at Jefferson High School, Y ' we Cathy Cayo and Sandra Bilbrey journeyed to Gal- veston to the Stu- dent Council State Convention.
