FAGLETTE TRACK TEAM This years girls’ track team attended a total of seven track meets from March 30th through May 6th. They competed against some of the toughest competition in the state of Georgia, yet they came out undefeated in the dual meets 3-0. The scores were Northside — 90, Northeast — 81, Southwest — 72, Hephzibah — 40, Southeast- 40, Butler — 25, Evans — 22.5, Central — 18, and Baldwin — 14. They finished 4th in the Coca Cola relays. They didn’t stop there. They went right on to place Ist in the Region Championship. LaQuita Thrower won the High Point award for the Region Meet. To finish their year with a bang, Keshea Madison (100m dash), LaQuita Thrower (200m dash, high jump, and long jump), Lisa Draper (100m hurdles), Kizmet Hall, Keesha Martin, LaQuita Thrower, and Keshea Madison (all in 400m relay), Clorinda Johnson, La- Trella Johnson, Keshea Madison, and LaQuita Thrower (all in 1600m relay) qualified for the state. LaQuita Thrower placed 3rd in the state in the 200m dash and the 1600m relay team placed 4th in the state to add a little extra to the whole team’s accomplishments for the year. After a year like this one, the future girls’ team track will no doubt try and carry on the Eaglette’s reputation with Coach Carreker behind them all the way.
