The Prayer Club, which is sponsored by Mrs. Ellen Strait, meets every Tuesday in room 28. This year the club has had many guest speakers come and either speak to the group or sing for them. The guest speakers are sometimes ministers from the local community or former students who attended Northside. The speakers represent dif- ferent denominational groups. The club is open to any interested student who wants to come to the Tuesday meetings. The meetings are usually well attended, and some of the meetings have even been held in the cafeteria or in the chorus room because of overflow crowds. One of the projects of the club this year has been to visit the nursing homes at Christmas time.
