Presenting ‘Reflections in Music’ by the NHS Music Department Reflections in Music, the theme of this year's Spring Concert of the Northridge Concert Band featured two accomplished musicians, Miss Linda Fraas and Mr. Jed Utsinger. Miss Fraas played the clarinet solo, Rondo, from the Concerts for Clarinet in B by Mozart. Mr. Utsinger, who won a scholarship to the University of Cincinnati, and who plays tympani in the concert band, bells in the marching band, piano in the stage band, served as director of the pep band and assistant director of the reserve band. He played the well known Concerto in Jazz by Phillips. Also featured were the Polarettes, performing to La Rosita. The Majorettes twirled to the music of Joshua. COMMENCEMENT AT LAST Commencement exercises for 198 Seniors, Class of nineteen hundred and sixty- six was held on Wednesday, May 25, at N.C.R. auditorium. Floyd Zimmerman, president of the Senior class, delivered the welcoming address. Mark Lloyd, Val- edictorian, and Sue Walters, Salutatorian, each gave addresses. Sue's talk was The Ever-Present Ten Per Cent , and Mark's t heme was 'Give Us Time”. 73
