Our Administration Tells Us Why... I extend cordial greetings to the stu- dents of the Northridge High School. I trust that the past school year has been academically purposeful, challenging, stimulating, and that you have received an education of the highest quality. The value of education in our highly competitive society has become so im- | portant that we no longer are required | to exert utmost influence to persuade | the majority of our boys and girls to attend school. Everybody, including the least impressed with school, acknowl- edges the importance and necessity of an education that extends, at least, through high school. The educated face a world of promise, unlimited opportunity, unprecedented challenge; the undereducated and unedu- cated are destined for monotonous and humdrum jobs that produce boredom, frustration, despair, and a feeling of uselessness. I trust that all will strive for con- tinued educational training, high aca- demic accomplishment, exemplary scholarship, and a purposeful life to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Charles R.
