In the past, most of my outside time has been spent working as a legal or executive secretary. My attention is now focused on housekeeping, gardening, playing piano and just making my family happy. — Mrs. Froning I play in dance bands, drag race motorcycles, see good stage shows, concerts and operas as well as exploring the state on my street motorcycle. — Mr. Grasselli I spend all my time doing things with my little son, Philip. Being a mother is even more fun than being a teacher. Seeing his smiling face beaming back at me is the most worthwhile sight in the world. — Mrs. vonRaabe I enjoy my summers because I do not have to meet deadlines. I play tennis, crochet, hook rugs, embroider, sew and swim. I enjoy reading, playing the piano and playing cards during the school year. I also enjoy at- tending the activities in which my children participate. — Mrs. Prior

ENGLISH AND LANGUAGE ARTS WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU HAD NOT BECOME A TEACHER? I already have been other things: newspaper reporter — editor, PR Secretary. I wanted to be a commercial ar- tist. — Mrs. LaValle I always wanted to be a teacher, ever since grade school. If I hadn't been able to be a teacher I think I would be working somewhere in service of the public. — Mrs. Higgins I would have become another Julie Child. — Mrs. Tom I would have bought a franchise and opened up a dance studio, or perhaps I would have been a TV evangelist. — Mr. Bolman I would have been involved in something humanitarian; perhaps the peace corps. — Mrs. Gorman CONNIE HIGGINS Speech English 10 Debate Mass Media Creative Writing Basic Theater Cheerleading Advisor Drama Club Advisor KATHLEEN LaVALLE English 9 and 10 English Literature American Literature College Composition Journalism National Honor Society EULA GORMAN Librarian FTA Advisor LARRY BOLMAN English 10 Linguistics Bible Literature Short Stories Creative Writing Spanish Spanish Club Advisor ELISE TOM English 9 Poetry French French Club Advisor

I feel I can generate school spirit by participating in dress of special spirit days and taking part in special ac- tivities at pep rallies when asked. — Mrs. McCabe Remain as calm and peaceful as possible. — Mr. Dudgeon I can wear school colors on spirit days and show an in- terest in the games by attending on occasion and en- 12 courage pride among students to generate spirit. — Mrs. Neudorfer School spirit is generated by leadership. I have always believed that the best possible leadership displayed by teachers is leadership by example. If a teacher can en- thusiastically support his or her students in all endeavors of school life, then the teacher has led by example. Enthusiasm is like a contagious disease ... it can pass from one person to another. VIKING SPIRIT .. . CATCH IT! — Mr. Sullivan
