DEDICATION They call her the Sarge because of the time she spent in the Marines; but anyone who really knows Mrs. LaValle knows that, under the hard shell she displays, she is one of the most lovable, conscientious and dedicated teachers Northridge has had. She has taught English for seven years with a contagious en thusiasm that guides students to love Shakespeare and write with feeling. One of her many talents is art. Her creative hand made doll collection (shown above) has been displayed several times in the school showcase. The puppets in the above pictures were made by her specifically for use in CARNIVAL, the 1982 All-School Musical. For several years the school newspaper, THE SAGA, was advised by Mrs. LaValle and gave students news about their fellow students and their school. She coached volleyball when she first arrived at Nor- thridge, showing her versatility. For her many contributions to our high school, we dedicate this 1983 yearbook to MRS.
