As Sophomores we wenf on To bigger and beTTer Things. The class officers we elecTed This Term were: Harry Olsen. President Dorofhy Trinkle, SecreTary: PeTer Theofield and HerberT Klumpe. Vice Presidenf and Treasurer, respecfively. The firsf social evenT was a ChrisTmas dance considered by all, a hugh success. In The spring of our Sophomore year we held anofher dance. wiTh The Theme Mardi Gras. Throughouf The summer we waifed for The Time when we would reTurn To N.H.S. as Juniors and The Task of giving The Junior prom would be ours. Keeping This ThoughT in mind we elecfed Lillian Hagner, President Doris Zimmerman, Vice President Joan Rose. Secrefary. and Bruce Boller, Treasurer. To raise enough funds for our biggesT underfaking we sold magazine subscripTions. The Junior Prom held on April 29, Turned our gym inTo a FrosTed Fanfasy wifh gliTTering sTars and sparkling snow. AnoTher noTeworThy evenT Took place on March 23, when we received our Junior rings. Our Hallowe'en PiraTe floaf capfured firsf prize. In Sepfember '49 we refurned aT lasT as sophisTicaTed Seniors. Since This was To be our lasT year aT high school we carefully chose our class officers.
