The 'Bolt matmen showed many fine individual per- formances during their season. On December 22, Northmont and Brookville grappled to a 31-30 score. Brookville slipped past the Green and White but Mr. Storch commented that the 'Bolts might have won if senior Tim McGillvary had wrestled. Tim was out due to illness. At the U.D. Invitational held December 28 and 29, the 'Bolts participated and finished in Bth place. Stan Malott, a senior at IVS, placed third in the 145-lb. class. Mike Henninger l105D, and Tim MCC-illvary H387 both placed well. Tim forfeited his last two matches because of a bad ankle. lohnny Walker also was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament and champ. Northmont and Fairmont West clashed january Sth. Final score was 38-25 as Northmont gained another victory. Mr. Storch, our wrestling coach here at Northmont, had a big sur- prise over the Christmas Holidays when the Greater Miami Valley Wrestlers Association inducted him into the Wrestlers Hall of Fame. Mr. Storch and the assistant principal of Roosevelt High School, Bob Denny, both won the award. The ceremony took place after the University of Dayton tourna- ment, Dec. 29, 1973. He received a plaque to help commemorate the special occasion. Congratula- tions, Mr. Storch! .,.... -v Marvelous, Commanding, Magnificent, Impressive . .. Q, 4 W lx os FN 1,1 Q KI L-Jipixvv ,,.
