Varsity And Reserve heerleaders Build Spirit The Cheerleaders remain the symbols of school spirit ever since such grand American tradition as high school football began. To- day the energetic girls in green and white lead cheers for basketball and wrestling as well. It's a job, too, because besides thinking up new modern cheers, keeping a smile in the worst weather or the most terrible scores, and trying to keep up hope and spirit in the worst times, they also have to find energy from reserves they never knew they had before. ln 1973 Varsity Cheerleader Carla Wagoner was honored as Cheerleader of the Year. The Varsity Squad, left to right: Chris Ballengee, Lee Ann Buxton, Eliza Galbraith, Terri Bushkar, Carla Wagoner, Jane Henninger, Kim Stringer, Diane Kohlbacher, Karen Brooks. The Reserve Squad, TOP: Pat Lawhorn, Beth Kroos, Crys Con- don, Julie Jones, Kathy Harsanyi, Amy Fuhrer, Sheree Kinney.
