48 Hours Cf Laughing Singing tomping Yawning Volleyball The GAA Volleyball Marathon lasted for 48 hours of varied experiences for a large group of brave, fun-loving girls. Catching snatches of sleep on the stage or in the hall, eating quantities of potato chips, Cokes and other such nutritious stamina-building foods, the girls kept the volleyball in the air until the 48th hour, long awaited, when the Thunder team won with 2746 points. AA Honors Girls Of The Year GAA remains one of the most active organi- zations in school. Activities start in fall with field hockey and move to volleyball, basket- ball, softball, golf and tennis. Track and field were added this year with great success. In addition to athletic activities, the girls sold programs, fruitcakes and cookies. One of the highlights this year was the GAA Volleyball Marathon. Attended by over 100 girls, it started at noon on a Friday and lasted for 48 hours until noon Sunday. Eagerly looked forward to and very succesful were the Mother-Daughter Fun Nite and the Annual Spring Banquet. NEXT PAGE, UPPER LEFT: Intramural cheering section.
