Unite Mr. Long takes a great interest in the German club and piano. Mrs. Eidemiller relaxes with a friend. The three different worlds of foreign language, French, Spanish, and German are both exciting and important in the furthering of student knowledge. The students are learning the literature and composi- tion in addition to the speaking skills of their lang- uage. The culture and backgrounds of the language are also important. Students agree that they like the informality with which the classes are conducted and the flexibility of the teachers. Being able to talk with the teacher plays a big part in helping students get involved in learning. A few of the activities of the language classes this year were: Spanish classes saw the movie lVlan of La lVlancha at the Dabel Cinema: Third year Spanish also went to Vandalia Butlerg Ger- man classes gave plays in German to elementary schools and went German Christmas caroling. The French classes have plans to go to Kings lsland in June and and tentative plans to go to a French restau- rant in Sandusky, Ohio. When a language student was asked if he thought the course was worth his time he replied, Definitely! ln addition to advancing my language background, I have learned about people and life, sharing and enjoying 'the little things!'.
