Determination And Willingness To Work Describe The Class Of I9 4 'ks the song goes, it started with a putt-putt party in the summer- ime, the Junior class got an early start toward the main event of the 4ear, the Junior-Senior Prom. They tried every imaginable way of raising enough money to finance he two to three thousand dollar prom. They picked up trash after ootball games, and collected pennies at lunch. For Homecoming they old the traditional mum corsages. During the basketball season, the diligent Juniors kept the prom funds olling in by operating the concession stand. The band and drill team were the major attractions when the Class of '74 sponsored Northmont Night at a Dayton Gems Hockey game. Work on Prom decorations began months early, as soon as the theme A Night of Southern Comfort was decided upon. After all the furor and excitement of the one big evening was over most of those who attended agreed that this Junior-Senior Prom would long be remembered as a thoroughly enjoyable events. S.
