X r The Key To Understanding ln 1972-73, your counselors at Northmont High School found their place in time to be a time of change. Some of the changes were the result of the twelve period extended day, the addition of mini-courses in social studies and English, and our first experience with computer scheduling. Those were the changes which tested flexibility, dispositions and endurance in September. Mr. Bratton, Miss Fritch, Miss Murphy and Mrs. Morris share the individual counseling responsibilities. Some changes in ways of communicating information have been implemented. Small group interpretation of tests has been initiated. Availability of a counselor to discuss financial aid with small groups of students at specified times was tried. Printed memos about deadlines, job opportunities and scholarships were distributed. A counselor from the Ohio State Employment Service visited some senior classes, the adult counselor from JVS discussed JVS Adult Education programs with senior business classes. With this knowledge and understanding of yourself, your aptitudes and interests, you can be helped to set realistic goals, make decisions and assume responsibility for carrying out your plans.
