BROADENING CDUR HCRIZONS . . . One of the strongest and most enduring of any of our traditions. That is the fundamental reason for coming to school. We strive to achieve success in our academic work as well as our extra-curricular activities. The hope is the same in each of us. That is to expand our future and increase our opportunities for our lives in the world. Without even trying we enrich our memories by broadening our horizons. The cheerful smiles of Mrs. Buelow and Mrs. Weeks helped brighten up the first few days of school. TQ i Molly Booker goes through her No. 1 routineg correcting errors. Northland students relax on the front lawn

Linda Ledford really means it when she says Ain't no way you can beat the Vikings. EACH NEW DAY . . . Also holds a special place in our dreams. The excitement of looking fonfvard to the end of the week when we can go to the football game, the anticipation of the Spring play, and of course the prayers and hopes we have for a good report card. The reactions vary with each person, but we all find something rewarding with each new day that comes.

Mr. Evans discusses football strategy with former Northland Music Director Robert Weimer. KEEPING IN MIND Never forgetting our ultimate goal which is to uphold our tradition and to turn our dreams into realities. A school that lives in the past, without experiencing the future will notobroaden its horizons nor can it be rewarded as each new day comes 'and goes. But a school that is working to assure that generations from now new students can beam with the same pride as we did, will be the school that is looked upon as the school that has TRADITION WITH A TOUCH OF TOMORROW
