W BOY'S TRACK BOTTOM ROW CL-Rl, Coach Jacques, Coach Sherlock, Coach Amato, Kent Davis, Randy Griffith, Bill Cole, Mark Pitchford, Dale Duffman, Mike Briney, Rick Brown, Greg Johnson, Terry Brubaker, Mark Pasquale 2ND ROW KL-Rl Eugene , Jim Hammond, Bart Ginther, Steve Sheppard, George Brown, Steve Tasa, Elliott Drumright, Steve Bush, Greg Pflickinger, Les Spulack, Rick May, Mark Trinko 3RD ROW IL-Rl Mark Gazewood, Jim Barela, Dave Wamsley, Darrell Wicker, Mike Lee, Tom Armer, Rick Mertes, Ron Wolfe, Bob Jackson, William Warren, Marty Sieckman, Terry Dorman TOP ROW IL-Rl Mike Gazewood, John Chamberlain, Lynn Johns, Brett Ginther, Jim Musick, Irv Brown, Gary Schroeder, Greg Bowes, Brad Bowhis, Kent Krudwig, Tom Summers, Gary Johnson The Northglenn Track Team completed a fine season this year, as they captured eight trophies, including the district meet championship. They had an undefeated record in all duel and triangular meet competition . The team was captained by three seniors, Irv Brown, Elliot Drumright, and Bill Cole. Irv won district titles in the 100 yard dash, the 220 yard dash, the 440 yard run, and ran onthe championship mile relay. He also set school records in all three individual events, and placed in all three at the state meet. Bill Cole set a school record in the 880 yard run and placed second and third respectively in the district and state meets . Elliot also set two2newI school records in the mile and 2-mile runs, and was second in the district in the -mi e . Hopes for next year are good with many quality juniors returning and a sophomore team that had a perfect season winning every meet they were in . 106
