After the acc1dent, I ,vent to Kroger s There I found an old schoolmate, J1m Dalton who has Just been made manager whlle poor Buddy Sexton was st111 pushmg a buggy Park1ng cars at th1s g1gant1c supermarket were Bob Moore Terry Treola and Charhe Lee Tosh Ventur1ng further around town I came upon a group of people surround1ng my old fr1end Margaret G111enwater who was cam pa1gn1ng to be the f1rst woman mayor of the town In the crowd I saw several fam1l1ar faces Paul Balley, Iva Barton, Melvyn Barber D1x1e Adda1r Fred Caud11l Anna Mae Eastep, and Jean Bowman Smce I was stand1ng 1n front of B111 Kosa s world famous restaurant, the Coffee Pot, I decrded to go 1n for a snack The chef at thls famous restaurant was R1chard Eldreth and wa1ters and wa1tresses were Robert Caud111, Jud1e Bowman, Everette East, L1nda Poole Mary Jane Roman and Bonn1e Cornett As I sat down to enJoy my snack I found myself am1dst a number of my former classmates, Harold Cochran, Mur1e1 Brooks, Johrmy Craft Zelma Byrd, James Eastep and Gladys Carter Fmlslnng even1ng church servlces As I hurmedtoward the church I passed a theater whlch was 1ett1ng out I recogn1zed Jerry Foster, Norma Crouse, Joe Graham, Sarah G1ard1na, Jlmmy Harold, Susle Gorok, James Hatf1e1d Shxrley Graham R1chard Meredlth and Carol Hanchock As I found my seat 1n the congregat1on, Inot1ced other mem bers of the congregatlon were Robert Meredxth, Joyce Harr1s Fredd1e Lawless, B1111e L1ddle, Vestle Jones, Jo Ann Marushla Bobby Mosh1er Donna Brown, Jerry Whltt, Mar1a Sp1nella and Jean Snow As the pastor of the church, who was none other than Donald R1chardson, took h1s place before the congregatlon Susan Trump d1rected the cho1r members Anme Rochelh, Judy S1mpl1c1o, Janet Ph1111ps Ot1S M11es Larry W1lcox Sandra Odham Judy Lukach, Jack Pers1an1, and Janet Davls As the church bells tolled I was awakened to f1nd myself back 1n the year 1960 H3 . , . . . . 7 3 . . . . , - n n . .
