THE WIZ Fall musical tryouts began on the ninth of September for North- fields production of The Wiz. Approximately 60 students tried out for the 43 parts. The Wiz is an adaption from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum. The Wiz was writ- ten by William F. Brown and the music by Charles Smalls. The lead characters were played by: Amy McKillip, Dorothy, Stan Kirtlan, lion, Gregg Reed, tinman, Mary Shaw, scarecrow, and Kevin Reed, The Wiz.
