A VICTORIOUS HOMECOMING! Homecoming was a major suc- cess in all aspects. Junior High won the tricycle race with ease. The junior class came off with victories in both the potato sack race and the 3-legged race. The seniors pulled their way to an easy win the the tug-o-war. The pow- der puff game between the class of ' 81 and ' 82 ended in a tie. The big night arrived! As the Norse went into the locker room, a win looked promising. Halftime highlights included the crowning of Marcia Winters as Homecoming queen. After an exciting second half, Big Blue came out the victors over North White. Following the game, a traditional Homecoming Dance was held in honor of the queen. Marcia Winters was escorted by Scott Hip- sher. The queen and her cou t Lisa Smith, Duke Deeter Dixie Hoover, Kyle Kelly, Missy Grey Rick Reahard, Marcia Winters, Scott Hipsher, Lisa Allen, Alan Wietzel, Chris Reed, Ed Gottchalk, Tina Meyer and Andy Drook. 8 Homecoming

Summer Fun Many exciting tilings liappen during tine summer. As the base- ball season ends, the freshmen prepare to learn the Vules of the road in DRIVERS EDUCATION. Students practice the fundamen- tals of driving on the road and un- der the instruction of IVIr. IVlills, learn other valuable knowledge in the classroom. SUIVIIVIER BAND, directed by IVlr. Stokes and Mr. Trump, per- formed a fantastic show allowing them to participate in state com- petition at Terre Haute, where they received a first place division They also took part in many pa- rades and competed in other field shows.
