Department receives new books Along with the new books re- ceived this year in the science de- partment the students also re- ceived a few new smells in the halls from those great chemists trying out their new experiments. We also got some loud pops and bangs as they combined hydrogen and oxygen to form water vapor. Those industrious physics stu- dents (all five of them) were really busy learning those laws of force and movement. While the biology students were busy dissecting their frogs, worms and fetal pigs. How do they feel about getting to do this right after lunch? Fun! Fun! And we can ' t forget about all those 7 ' th and 8 ' th graders learn- ing the distance from the moon to the earth in light years and the way weatherfronts move across the country. It has been a busy year in the science department. m rflH 1 n 1 Hl H v Vj H ! V mm 1 i 1. Mr. Walker and Carol Dunnlgan check a mixture made in Biology. 2.
