Graduation brings smiies Briskly, on May 21, as the band played the recessional, the 127 of- ficially graduated members of the Class of 1977 walked back up the isles with diplomas and carnations, their class flower, in hand. The exercises took place in the old gym. Cindy Martin opened with the invocation. The major com- mencement address, given by Mr. Clyde Gentry, was entitled, Be Alive Inside and Out . Addresses were also given by Valedictorian, Mickey Strange; Salutatorian, Robin EIrod; and Honor Student, Lee Ann Morrison. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the class and the benediction by Deanna Schuler. 1. Lee Ann Morrison receives her Na- tional Honor Society stole to wear on her robe. 2. Amy Vrooman gets a helping hand from Nancy Dale while Missy Mast watches and Trina Schuler tries to get her cap on straight. 3. Roxy Allen waits for the time the band will play as many other girls chat while awaiting the magic hour of eight. 22 Graduation
