The Signs of Christmas On December 17th the Northfield cafeteria became alive with the spirit of Christmas, as the FCA and Tri-Hi- Y sponsored the annual Christmas Dance. A glow of red, green, and gold surrounded the River Band while they set the mood of the holidays. Approximately 200 people attended this gala event. Refreshments were served. « 1. Wendy Holman and date find that disco music irresistible. 2. Lori Beaver and Debbie Siders sample the Yuletide treats while chat- ting with Julie Rees. 3. Mitch Beals and Amy Vrooman dance the night away. 4. Surrounding the tree couples dance to the music of the River Band. 5. Frank Tiede and Lisa Kitchen drink to the holi- day season while Chris Sampson, Mitch Beals and his date Amy Vroo- man discuss the evening ' s festivities. 14 Christmas Dance

First Carnival provides fun, frolic, and funds Hey slugger, can ' t ya hit the target! . . . Splash! the aroma of popcorn, the splat of whipped cream . . . These are just a few sights and sounds of a new adventure of the Student Council for the 1976-77 year ... A Carnival. Each club was encouraged to participate, as a money-making project, by setting up some type of booth. All sorts of entertainment were available to those attending, from a homemade baked goods booth to a whipped cream pie throw to a dunkin ' booth. The Car- nival was a success and will prob- ably become an annual event at NHS. 1. Doug Kasamis takes aim at the Shield ' s ba5l etball throw booth, : 2. Mr. Winegardner tai es a dunl at the athletic booth. 3. Three strikes-you ' re out at the old foreign language booth. 4. 1 wonder who that could be under ALL that whip cream? 5. The art club sponsored this candle squirting booth. =6. One of the most popular booths at the carnival was the Tri-Hi-Y cake walk.
