Look..Jt s AH Smiles In the midst of a very successful football season an air of excitement rose from the halls of NHS, on Oc- tober 8th, as the student body prepared for a victo- rious Homecoming against Whites Institute. The theme for 1976-77 Homecoming was The Animated World of Walt Disney. Float judging included fresh- men winning fourth place using characters from Cap- tain Hook; seniors placed third basing their float on The Jungle Book; sophomores placed second with Winnie-the-Pooh and the juniors winning first place with their float displaying Dumbo the flying elephant. On that very chilly night. Miss Pat Meston stepped down from her reign as Homecoming Queen to give the title to Miss Debbie Winters, junior. Her court in- cluded Wendy Holman, senior; Rosie Kramer, soph- omore; and Cambi Rensberger, freshman. The junior class also took the winning Homecoming King votes with their candidate Perry Van Meter. The other class candidates were Mitch Beals, senior; Brian Reed, sophomore; and JefF Mowery, freshman. The Homecoming events ended with a dance in the cafeteria following the game. Mad success As the house lights went down and the curtain opened, Northfield patrons beheld a wonderous sight. Where an empty stage once stood was a little French cafe and the home of The Madwoman of Chaillot. Yes, on November the 12th and 13th, the world was shown through the superb acting of all cast members and by the ex- cellent performances by the back- stage crews that when the talent of NHS combines with ONE Bar- bara Durnbaugh miracles occur!!! (Congratulations troupe for a job WELL done!) 1. The Madwomen of Northfield: Dawn Baber, Lee Ann Morrison, Deb Warnock, and Iris Tackett. 2- A very normal day at a very unordinary French cafe! 3. Wil- liam Rust and Barb Durnbaugh having fun at the piano. 4. The Madwoman trys to convince Irma (Robin EIrod) that Pierre (Jim Johnson) is not all that bad. 5.
