Members had the opportunity to use the school equipment, as well as their own, in order to develop their photographic techniques under the guidance of Mr. Ritchie, sponsor. Advanced Science- Under the sponsorship of Mr. Fossa, this club met to promote interest in advanced science among its members. Through trips, discussions, and movies, the members were able to add to their knowledge of scientific ideas and the- ories not available to the average science student. Martin Kern American History The American History Club was formed to supplement the American History taught in class. Under the sponsor- ship of Mr. William Newman, the members strived to de- velop various viewpoints on historical topics and current events. Questions or ideas of the club members were dis- cussed at meetings and many points were clarified. The primary purpose of the club was to stimulate interest in history, its allied Helds, and careers in both of these areas.
