Council plans and schedules the girls athletic activities for the school year This council consists of two students from each class, four officers, and the two captains of the Varsity and Junior Varsity cheering squads. G. A. A. COUNCIL GIRLS' SPORTS The ever popular and exciting intramurals help to create a competitive spirit among girls of all four classes. These girls show excellent spirit and good sportsmanship, a factor in the development of a well-rounded person. Among the many sports there are: soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, modern dance, ping pong, badminton and softball. Class games are played at the end of each sport season. Awards are given to those girls who actively participate in four sports. At the annual G. A. A. Assembly, Miss Margaret Schneider, girls athletic advisor, makes the presentation of these awards. fi J' I xc? gr I .
